Coronavirus kills 89 more in Iran: Official
Iran’s Health Ministry Spokesman said on Friday that the death toll from the coronavirus outbreak in Iran has risen to 4,958.

The head of Iran’s Health Ministry’s Public Relations Office said on Friday that 89 others died of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in Iran over the past 24 hours so that the country’s total death toll grew to 4,958.

Kianoush Jahanpour said that 1,499 new cases of infection have been detected since yesterday, adding that 79,494 people have been confirmed infected to the novel coronavirus disease so far in the country.

The official said that 54,064 Iranian COVID-19 patients have recovered and discharged from hospital so far.

Jahanpour, however, noted that 3,563 COVID-19 patients are in critical conditions being under intensive care.
